Happy Easter Dude
E= American girl doll got a suitcase of her very own for any up coming summer travels. Complete with a travel bed inside the suitcase. Found on Groupons! E- loves to play dolls & is very interested in playing teacher. She calls all the younger kids in the neighborhood into her room & teaches them numbers and letters and reads books to them. Her teacher this year in school enjoys reading to the class so it is fun to see Elsa pick this up and read to her siblings at home. Today we moved a bookcase into her room to hold all of her teaching supplies. Still loving piano & likes to pick up songs she hears & pluck them out until she gets the melody right.
T- LOVED a flying elastic band launcher airplane and helicopter. We have spent several hours the last few days at the park launching and chasing the new helicopter. T loves seeing how high he can get it to go. Still enjoying weekly soccer and tennis. Has been eating every 20 minutes for the past 3 weeks or so...I should have measured him at the beginning of this hunger phase, he must really be growing. We finish a meal, I clean up & he is "starving" again. Thankfully he is really good about helping himself to a yogurt, fruit or anything he can find in the panty. I often come in the kitchen and find him eating a bowl of cereal that he has served up for himself, with NO mess. Love that!
B- baby dolls to carry around the house, wrap in blankets & push in the stroller.
Duck Tape....the kids made crafts right away with their tape. Kids sure do love tape. P loves to sit at the table with paper, scissors, tape, crayons and be creative. He is Not so fond of the clean up afterwards...but getting better at it.
All the kids baskets piled into her grocery cart. Baskets make great toys. She had much more fun with the baskets then the toys that the bunny brought her.
P- so super excited about his bug catcher. He brought it along this very Saturday morning to the soccer fields for the older kids games & enjoyed looking in the grass for bug.
Dude! That is what Bryn calls Thomas. We have been on Spring Break all week & Bryn has been listening to Thomas as he plays with Peter. T often calls Peter 'dude'. So Bryn picked up on the word & that is how she addresses T. When asking about where family members are during the day she will ask "Where dad, Elta, Peter & dude?" I laugh every time. If I ask her if she is talking about Thomas she responds " Yes, where dude?" She is very able to say "Tom", I wonder how long she will address him as dude?
