5 years old
Our sweet 5 year old. Our backyard is a paradise of plastic toys all given to us from neighbors who have out grown them. Peter loves to spend hours in the backyard sliding & playing with these 2 gals who live close by.
Wearing his paper crown from school. Peter has looked forward all year to bringing a birthday snack to school. He picked out M&M chocolate chip cookies, rocket goldfish and apple juice.
The last few weeks Peter has told me "mom I am tired of being 4".
Yesterday Bryn got this plastic house from a neighbor. It has a real door bell. THe kids helped me bring it over in parts and then put it back together. The kids had a great time eating their after school snack in the house & playing pretend. Notice P in the back ground digging in the dirt. He loves to go out there and dig with the trowel. Or drive his cars in the dirt.
At his popsicle party in the park. It was a warm 73 degrees and a perfect afternoon to play with friends at the park. P loves to come here and play in the large sand box, bike around the track and swing on the swings.
P is a great independent player and will go dig in the sand or dirt, build legos, or just play with his toys in a sunny room. He loves to lay on the carpet when the sun is pouring in the windows and soak up the heat.
His sweet friend Troy whom we go biking with every week. P is a great biker & has real endurance now. His favorite destinations are the library or to visit dad. Loves to do jumps and visit the BMX trails.
A red face from eating popsicles.
Opening gifts at home after a dinner of sliders. He was super excited about Legos this year.He looks forward to building them with dad over the weekend.
P is learning to read and write in preparation for kindergarten. He is always looking over Thomas's shoulder as he does his homework, eager to soak up any knowledge that Thomas is gaining. Always up for reading a book with me, especially magazines and books about animals. Usually follows me around the house with a book in hand waiting for me to stop cleaning and start reading ;-)
