Elsa is 9!

3 pictures in a row of Elsa blowing up balloons for her birthday party this last weekend. They all popped before we could play any games with them but Elsa had fun blowing them up.

See the large spider in the cup. Elsa found it in the boys room while cleaning up lego's with Peter. She screamed her head off ;-) They took that spider all over the neighborhood to show it off. With it's legs spread out it was huge.  During the party Thomas thought it was dead and dumped it in the back yard. It was not dead...hopefully it crawled into the neighbors yard.

Elsa opening gifts during her birthday party. So many fun craft gifts. All weekend she has been knitting a scarf on a loom that was given to her.

Decorating pumpkins to look like porcupines. You stick a tooth pick into a carrot and then into the pumpkin. Some kids got very creative and made lots of fun hair-do's and faces. The boys had a pumpkin to share and stuck 30 or so toothpicks into it for spiky hair.

Doing more crafts at the table outside in the back yard. It was a super hot day..over 90 so the girls played with water and tried to stay in the shaded backyard.

Bryn climbed up and got down the deodorant. She was so proud to rub it all over her armpits and then came over to rub more on me.   It was a hot day ;-)

Opening gifts and cards from family. Thank you all for the wonderful notes, gifts and cards. One happy birthday girl today!

Peter shed NO tears this morning during Elsa's birthday breakfast of cinnamon rolls, milk and peaches.  Big boy!

Opening clothes her herself and for her doll. She wore her new jacket to school today.

For dinner she wanted soup rolls and asian salad. That will balance out rolls for breakfast and the candy she is bringing to school to shared with her classmates today.

We love you birthday girl. You fill our home with laughter, art & singing. Your adventures right now are piano, volleyball, tennis & ceramics & of course lots of swimming with friends at their pools. It has been so hot during your birthday week.
