Elsa went fishing on Saturday at our town fishing derby. Using her little kiddy fishing pole she caught the longest fish that morning, with a little help from Uncle Mike & Brian. Mike brought extra special bait to entice the fish, and Brian helped her pull the fish into shore. She was thrilled!Todd then bought it into the kitchen chopped off its head, pulled out it's guts, and fried it in a pan. They feasted on trout for lunch, it was totally gross- I stayed away. I am not a fish lover. It took me 2 days to air out the kitchen and two runs of the dishwasher to get the smell out of the pan.
The town of New Canaan awarded Elsa with a new pole, tackle box & a tee shirt. She can not wait to go fishing again.
